THENGAI PAAL SATHAM OR COCONUT MILK RICE
Coconut milk liquid derived from the meat of mature coconuts can be tasty addition to many dishes and it’s useful as a dairy- free alterative to regular milk.the colour and rich taste of the milk can be attibributed to the high oil content.coconut milk is a popular food ingredients used in indian.you can drink it plain use it for cooking or blend it with smoothies to benefits from its nutritional value.coconut milk rice is my husband favorite recipe,so i prepared monthly once.try it.
INGREDIENTS FOR COCONUT MILK RICE
butter or ghee-2 tsp
green chilli -4
coconut milk-2 and 1/2 cups
FOR PREPARATION OF COCONUT MILK
1.Thick coconut milk can be prepared by directly squeezing grated coconut .
2.Soak rice in water for 5 to 10 min.
3.cut the onion and green chilli.
1.Take a pressure cooker,put the butter ,oil,when it is hot add cloves,cinnamon,bay leaves,fry few mintues.
2.Now add the finely chopped garlic and ginger fry till turns into golden colour.
3.Then add the green chilli,chopped onion,mint,enough salt fry for till the onion turns golden colour.
4.Now add the rice and fry for few mintues,add coconut milk and stir well.cook for 2 to 3 whistle.
5.Remove the rice from pressure cooker .
6.Now coconut milk rice is ready to serve with hot vegetable or non veg kurma or gravy,varuval and raitha.
